Who we are
A quiet promise kept, one cow at a time.
Vijayalaxmi Gaushala & Foundation began with a simple belief — every cow deserves care, dignity and a safe place to live.
Nestled in the green hills of Sangulwadi in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, our Gaushala provides protection, shelter, nourishing food and medical care to cows that have been abandoned, injured, left destitute or grown too old to be kept. Today we care for a small family of seven to eight cattle — and every one of them is known, named and looked after.
Protecting cows means protecting nature, humanity and the culture that has held them sacred for generations.
